For this week's Trifextra Challenge, I give you . . .
Odd
Notions
I had
always wanted to put my hand in Auntie’s "button jar," the heavy
tobacco tin in her sewing room. When I did, a profusion of buttons--and one
human tooth--spilled out.
Love this one! Nasty surprise.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kelly!
DeleteThank you, Jo-Anne! I'm guilty of having a tin full of buttons (I don't think there are any teeth in there, though... ;-)
ReplyDeleteEw...that was unexpected! I have a tin of buttons. Gosh I hope there are no teeth in there!
ReplyDeleteOnly one way to find out... :-)
DeleteOoh, love that little twist - you can read it evil or endearing... We will never know! Great prompt.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Maybe it's a combination of evil and endearing--just like Auntie. ;-)
DeleteThere's got to be a good story behind that.
ReplyDeleteSewing accidents happen every day. :-)
DeleteI bet that would make a good button for a houndstooth jacket!
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up!
Great prompt. Thank you!
DeleteOh collector of teeth... sounds like there might be a skeleton in the closet too.
ReplyDeleteMaybe in the dressmaker's dummy! :-)
DeleteGreat twist! Is it a long forgotten tooth belonging to one of Auntie's kids? Or something more sinister?
ReplyDeleteNicely written! :)
...Or aggressive quilting activities? We may never know!
