Manillow

I wrote the following for Trifextra Week Seventy-Eight. It's a mere 33 words, as the challenge demands.

Manillow

We argue about color. Men have fewer cones, don't they? Our first house, we decided, was manillow, yellow and manilla (and maybe vanilla) to keep the peace. A joke, and a necessary one.

  1. Ha, been there. "What do you mean it's blue? Are you color-blind? It's obviously green!" Thank god for aqua. I also really love the portmanteau 'manillow.' Very nice.

    1. Yes! Exactly! Hee hee. It's one of the classic male-female debates. :-) Thanks for commenting!

    1. Thank you! I'm excited to vote. I see have a lot of catching up to do, though. Good thing they're only 33 words each!

  3. I'm happy you could find a middle ground! Is it really true about the cones? I'll have to google it...

    1. Thanks for reading! I wasn't sure when I wrote this if it is just an old wives' tale, and I'm not sure now. I think--last I heard--that it has more to do with perception than eye structure. I could be wrong. To the Googles!

  5. :) This reminds me of the Belgian Waffle colored paint we had - I thought it was warm and appealing and my husband just thought it was yellow!
