The Laughter You Hear As You Walk By

The following is a quick Trifextra challenge for the weekend.

Pretending to be the people who cast them onto the street, shadows giggle, stoop, and lurch. With exaggerated postures, they gleefully scream while their creators make new friends to join in the fun.

  1. I love the idea of our shadows leading their own giddy, gleeful, mocking lives! This is a great take on the prompt!

    1. Thank you, Kallan Annie! I'm excited to finish reading all the Trifextra entries. It's so cool to see the array of ideas that come from one image. :-)

  2. I, too, like the idea of the shadows having a life of their own. Good take on the prompt. I agree with you regarding the vast range of creative responses that arise from within the imaginations of the Trifecta community writers. One of the most vauable aspects of being involved with Trifecta is to simply be exposed to so many amazing minds.

  4. Those shadows sound a little like kids. Perhaps they go back and forth between ages as they get longer and shorter throughout the day?

    Thank you for linking up!

    1. Perhaps...or maybe shadows are just rude and immature no matter what time of day it is. ;-)

  5. These shadows would like Neverland! I like your description of the shadows that "giggle, stoop, and lurch."

  6. Oh, I think I would like Neverland too. But just for a visit. ;-) Thank you, Janna!
